Job Title: Laboratory & Quality Supervisor
Location: Agbara, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Normal Duty Hours: 9 Hour / Day (Day Shift Only)
DescriptionÂ
- The Laboratory & Quality Supervisor will oversee the quality control and laboratory activities within the operational Sodium Silicate plant. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards and specifications through rigorous testing and analysis. The supervisor will manage the laboratory team, maintain equipment, and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in quality control or laboratory management are a plus.
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a quality control role within a chemical manufacturing environment. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
Working Conditions
- This position involves working in a plant environment, which may include exposure to high temperatures, chemicals, and noise.
- The role may require working outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, to address emergencies or critical maintenance needs.
- Normal Duty Hours: 9Hr / Day (Day Shift Only).
