The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDF) is a non-profit organization that supports children and persons with Congenital Heart Disease popularly called Hole in the Heart in Nigeria. The foundation is envisioned to be the leading charity organization in Nigeria supporting the CHD cause. Our mission “to create a paradigm shift in the current status of congenital heart disease in Nigeria through awareness campaign and advocacy; support; education and research promotion” states the 4 main areas we are focusing on to achieve our vision.

Job Title: Volunteer – Financial and Tax Officer

Role Overview
- The Volunteer Financial and Tax Officer will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of CHDFNigeria.
- You will ensure our financial operations are compliant with relevant regulations and assist in preparing financial statements and tax filings.
- This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in finance, accounting, or taxation who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage day-to-day accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with legal financial obligations, including filing annual returns and audit requirements.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Candidates must have experience in Finance, Accounting, or Tax Management.
- Ability to commit 5 hours weekly to the role.
- Passion for contributing to a cause that saves lives.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and financial compliance.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
