Job Title: Construction Manager (Oil and Gas)
Location:Â Rivers (Niger Delta Region)
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Construction planning and monitoring (schedule, cost control and compliance of executed works with project technical specifications)
- Timeliness and accuracy of construction works execution
- Technical quality of project constructability reviews and construction projects plan review
- Specialists support visits on site organization
- Daily, weekly and monthly construction reports
- Close-out report preparation
- Construction & Installation: project feasibility, data books, Oper & Decom Manual, control system knowledge, inspection, control and testing techniques
- Compliance: Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Health of site management
- Contracting: variations and claim resolution
- Quality & Safety: audit and certification activities, operational security, contractors’ specs, qualification & auditing
- Technologies: Standard ISO, TQM and Quality system
- Work progress certification
- Preparation of third-party’s authorities site visits and audits
- Identification and adoption of correct HSEQ standards according to company standards and local norms and legislation
- Managing contractors (including construction work troubleshooting), and suppliers
- Managing construction site supervisors.
Requirements
- Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
- Excellent management skills
- Organisation & planning, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Significant experience in construction, including planning, mechanical, civil and electrical/instrumental activities
