We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Lead H/F

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Position Summary

As we are expanding our Project Management Office for international projects, The Procurement Lead will:

  • Lead Direct and manage the Procurement for each project.
  • Ensure all project procedures are auditable and accountable to management and finance.
  • Create and manage all project supplier payment terms, shipping terms and terms & conditions in Ponticelli’s best interests and to negotiate pricing strategies as well as payment terms for the interest of Ponticelli.
  • Ensure there is a timely payment for materials and services provided by working closely with the finance department regarding purchase order discrepancies and making amendments when required.
  • Work with the project planner to agree procurement resource requirements and milestones and to monitor progress against them to achieve the project stage gates and outputs.
  • Facilitate all vendor assurance audits as required. Create and manage competitive tender processes to show a fully auditable and compliant procurement process for the life of the projects.
  • Produce and implement the project procurement plan and associated procurement schedule, use expertise to determine the requirements and manage the team to deliver.
  • Work with the project manager to ensure the appropriate contract is in administered for any for any 3rd party contractors or vendors.
  • Liaising with Project Planner and Engineering and Operations team to ensure all project procurement is managed and assured to meet the project baseline timelines and stage gates.
  • Manage the requisitioning of all goods and services as/when required taking into account
  • Purchasing and Legal compliance in relation to approvals of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Order Rules
  • Produce, track and monitor performance of procurement via the project procurement schedule provide input to project governance reviews & reports. Track expenditure and report to the cost manager, develop and publish KPI’s for procurement on the projects
  • Develop cost metrics for future projects with the cost manager and compile a project estimating databook of actual costs of equipment/services.
  • Report on project procurement performance against the baseline plan and stated benefits of the projects, including stage gates reviews of technical compliance. Work closely with the Cost manager to ensure all procurement is within budget or that opportunities and risk are recorded in the cost plan.

Profile Wanted

  • 5 years minimum of experience in similar position
  • Proven oil & gas industry experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
