Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt – Rivers

Resumption: 6th January, 2025.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Job Scope

  • The Accounts Officer at Felton Energy Services Limited plays a crucial role in managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • This role involves handling financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, supporting debt recovery efforts, and managing loan-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and invoices.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and statements for audits and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for accessibility and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal financial policies.
  • Contribute to developing internal controls and improving financial processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and account balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and invoicing.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and implement debt recovery strategies.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required Experience/ Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the oil & gas, maintenance, or procurement sectors.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in debt recovery and loan management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Salary and Benefits

  • N120,000 / Month
  • HMO, Pension, and other benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
