Job Title: Accounts Officer
Location: Trans-Amadi, Port Harcourt – Rivers
Resumption: 6th January, 2025.
Reports to: Finance Manager
Job Scope
- The Accounts Officer at Felton Energy Services Limited plays a crucial role in managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- This role involves handling financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, supporting debt recovery efforts, and managing loan-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and invoices.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and statements for audits and compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for accessibility and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal financial policies.
- Contribute to developing internal controls and improving financial processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and account balances to ensure accuracy.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and invoicing.
- Monitor overdue accounts and implement debt recovery strategies.
- Any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Required Experience/ Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the oil & gas, maintenance, or procurement sectors.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in debt recovery and loan management is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Salary and Benefits
- N120,000 / Month
