Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview

  •  We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team and ensure the efficient collection of outstanding invoices and payments.
  • As an Accounts Receiveable Officer, you will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • You will work closely with project managers and finance teams to maintain positive client relationships while efficiently handling collections and resolving any related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Contact clients to follow up on overdue payments via phone, email, mail and in person visits.
  • Prepare and send regular statements and reminders to clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection processes and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Provide reports on collection activities and outstanding accounts to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication and payment status in the company’s financial systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve any billing discrepancies or client disputes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a project-driven organization is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software, CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
