We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Information Technology Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 Responsibilities

  • Provides expert advice to Management on service delivery and manages the overall IT budget from a planning and governance point of view.
  • Develops effective rollout of governance policies and processes for assigned functions and monitors to ensure compliance to define policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitors and reviews to ensure that information security programmes are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies to minimize or eliminate risk and audit findings.
  • Reviews and ensures proper monitoring, tracking of all exceptions raised against Technology in risk and audit report and works with other teams within IT to develop remediation plans to address these exceptions. – (IT Compliance Dashboard).
  • Ensures the development and the implementation of procedures and controls to ensure compliance with applicable IT policies and relevant regulatory and legal framework for the IT Business Unit of the bank.
  • Ensures that documents and accurate record of IT asset inventory as critical inputs to updating the bank’s IT risk register are appropriately documented
  • Coordinate efforts to support any IT audits and review, and/or relevant regulatory bodies compliance exercise/investigations
  • Conducts periodic review of IT department Job profiles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all activities are captured and are up to date.
  • Developing an IT continuity framework (to ensure continuous services).
  • Designs and conducts periodic internal surveys to measure performance of IT services.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand current and future business needs, translating them into actionable architecture requirements.
  • Conducts periodic (quarterly) review of the Technology SWOT analysis document to track improvements and proposerevisions and/or additions to policies and procedures strengthen operations, as well as internal controls.
  • User Support
  • Create employee details and login access for all staff in the banking application and Mail Server
  • Train Staffs on Banking Software and Computer Applications
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing,and resolving software problems in the bank application
  • End of Day/End of Month /End-of-year Processing
  • Backup/Restore Data
  • Manage the Bank’s SMS portal
  • Maintain Error Logs
  • Manage hardware installations/Repairs (e.g. Printer, Laptop, Copier)
  • Track and monitor security of hardware and software systems (e.g. Malware/Virus Scan)
  • Troubleshooting and management of Bank’s Local Area Network
  • Troubleshooting of Banks networking and communication Infrastructure (LAN, IP Phones etc.)
  • Analyses and reviews audit findings and follows up with IT Support teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Database administration: SQL
  • Management of Security Devices
  • Prepare written documents (e.g. Internal Memo, Monthly Subscription, Reports, Letters, Minutes)
  • Maintain documents and files (e.g. SLAs, Receipts)
  • Liaise with I.T. Vendors/Technicians/Software provider/ISP Providers
  • Monitor, order and distribute computer supplies

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. Additional qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ cognate experience. Previous experience in a financial institution is mandatory.
  • Hands on experience with computer networks and Network administration.
  • Excellent organizational/ leadership skill
  • Experience in implementation and evaluation of IT systems
  • Understanding of computer systems (hardware and software) and networks.
  • Knowledgeable in data centre management.
  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Load/Stress test Programming Languages/Database as well as ISO 20000, 27001 and 22301
