Job Title: Audit Assistant

Job Description
- We are currently seeking the services of an Audit Assistant with specialized expertise in industrial and FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) settings.
- The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the audit team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies within the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting internal audits of operational processes, financial transactions, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the audit team to develop audit plans, procedures, and checklists to assess risks and evaluate controls.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including department heads and process owners, and assist in developing action plans to address identified issues.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and recommendations from previous audits to ensure resolution and closure.
- Perform testing of internal controls, including sample selection, documentation review, and data analysis, to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations for review by senior auditors and management.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to auditing and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with 4-6 years experience.
- Previous experience in auditing, preferably in an industrial or FMCG environment, is desirable but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / Month.
