Job Title: Business Development Executive (Entry Level)
Location: Lagos
Reports to: Business Development Lead
Job Scope
- The Business Development Executive is responsible for supporting the business development team in identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
- This role is ideal for candidates with 1-2 years of experience, especially from a banking or financial services background, who are eager to expand their careers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients to drive revenue growth.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends and identify potential target markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Attend client meetings and follow up on client inquiries to foster positive relationships.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to prospective clients.
- Provide regular reports on market trends and business opportunities to the team.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and contract details.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on business development activities and results to the Business Development Lead.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote the brand and generate leads.
- Organize and coordinate promotional events and activities.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance business development skills.
- Keep abreast of industry knowledge, sales techniques, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the business development team to tailor offerings to meet client needs.
- Coordinate sales activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing sales materials.
- Track sales leads and update the CRM system with relevant client information.
- Gather necessary documents and liaise with internal stakeholders during contract negotiations.
- Ensure all agreements align with company policies and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and market changes to provide insights that support business strategy.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Business Development Lead to support team objectives.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or customer relationship roles, preferably within the banking, insurance or financial services sector.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Desired Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits
- N100,000 – N150,000 / Month.
