Job Title: Demand Planner

Location: Lagos

Schedule: Full-Time

Job Objective

• To drive all forecasting and demand planning activities for Promasidor, ensuring accurate and efficient forecast models.
• The role entails synthesizing information from sales, marketing, finance, and warehouse operations to maintain comprehensive demand forecasts.
• The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills and advanced forecasting modeling techniques to drive data-driven decisions, coupled with excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities / Activities

• Develop and prepare demand forecast (operation forecast) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of demand planning functions.
• Support annual business planning/monthly forecasting process by driving monthly volume and value forecasting.
• Utilize collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Finance and logistics to ensure updated information is used for demand planning.
• Provide input into Suppling planning function in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and phase outs (volume planning for latest estimates / Annual process).
• Closely coordinate innovation project meetings and communicate actions plans to supply planning team.
• Constantly engage stakeholders to ensure alignment in lead times, inventory days, Liquidation plans and inventory aging.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and develop statistical forecast models as well as forecast result evaluation.
• Coordinate cross functional research activities to reconcile significant variance and refine forecast models to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
• Regular eeporting to the Senior and executive management of the demand plans and KPIs.
• Interact with Sales, Marketing and Finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

Requirements

• A University Degree in Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Engineering, or any relevant discipline

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning/forecasting/supply chain operation planning role.
• Sound/advance knowledge of Microsoft excel to analyze the demand planning and forecasting.
