Job Title: Director of Operations
Location: Nigeria

Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary
- The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring safe, economical and smooth execution of functions related to airline operations (Ground Handling, IOCC and Commercial), while taking into account all the legal aspects of local and international regulatory authorities.
- Ensuring the customer journey, securing consistent superior Customer satisfaction levels and thus scaling United Nigeria’s revenue. The role position reports to the Executive Director
Duties/Responsibilities
- Set up and deploy a best-in-class Operations Control Centre
- Data collection, research and analysis of key factors necessary for complete business (commercial) planning.
- Ensure the airline has the correct operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures.
- Measure the effectiveness of all internal and external processes, producing timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
- Monitor and improve all customer communication for consistency and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively across teams – including Sister departments, IT, Flight Operations etc.
- Suggesting best strategies for fleet planning, network planning, frequency, and business modelling, revenue management relative to marketing, operation and financial planning – from corporate and commercial perspectives
- Demonstrate strength in obtaining results through a clear focus on goals and accountability, communications, and business knowledge.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director
Experience & Qualifications
- HND or B.Sc in any discipline.
- A higher degree will be an added advantage
- A minimum of Seven (7) years’ relevant experience
- Understanding of airline legal contracts.
- Existing contacts/partnerships within the Airline sector.

- Strong communicator both to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Strong levels of numeracy and analytical ability
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Understanding of the airline sector
- Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint skills.
- High-level English skills, both written, oral and aural
- Must be smart enough to take critical decisions within a very short time limit
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
