At the senatorial election held in the Enugu North Senatorial zone on Saturday, Mr. Okey Ezea of the Labour Party has been proclaimed the victor.
The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was defeated by Ezea.
The returning officer, Professor Chukwuemeka Ubaka, declared the election’s outcome early on Monday.
He stated that Ezea received 104,492 votes.
while Ugwuanyi of the PDP received 46,948 votes. With 6,816 votes, APC candidate Eze Simon finished third.
