Job Title: Electrical Construction Specialist
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Leading the construction team and organizing progress review meetings for evaluating delay analysis, and material delivery schedule-to avoid
- the construction delays
- Ensuring procurement of consumable items and electrical equipments as per the contract and according to the management decision with well commercial negotiation
- Developing method statement to execute the construction works/Equipment Erection, Installation and for Testing and Commissioning
- Drafting BOQ including item descriptions; material take off and quantity analysis from the single line diagram and construction documents to match the provided BOQ
- Formulating operating budgets and managing overall operations for executing civil projects within cost & time norms
- Liaising with clients to interpret their needs & requirements and representing the same in the field.
- Erection and Equipment Installation & Commissioning – Preservation of the E&I Equipment’s according to the Equipment data with Safety Management.
- Preparing Engineering Terms and STQ to identify the engineering mistakes and resolving the same at site itself
- Maintained and fostered contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors and material suppliers
- Carried out daily site inspections and supported planning department to meet the scheduled completion dates
- Instrumental in maintaining the health and safety requirements to execute the projects in safe manner
- Supporting to Resolve the Engineering Issues – Equipment/Drawings.
- Steering the overall operations and maintenance of the projects while ensuring all-round compliance and employee safety in the plant.
- Provided leadership and support in terms of technical and construction matters during the phases of a project
- Attended daily progress meeting with the client to identify the priorities and to execute the projects as per the site conditions and to pre-determine the safety related issues
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Construction & Commissioning, Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Cost Optimization, Site Management, Strategic Planning, Safety Management, Equipment Installation and Preservation
