Job Title: Fiber Technician

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance: Install, splice, test, and repair fiber optic cables and equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve fiber optic network issues using specialized testing equipment and tools.
• Network Testing: Perform signal testing, OTDR testing, and other diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal fiber optic performance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during installations and repairs. Conduct safety checks to ensure the work environment is safe.
• Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain fiber optic equipment, including splicing machines, testing tools, and other related instruments.
• Collaboration: Work with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of fiber optic cables and related infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and testing procedures. Update network schematics and maps as needed.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical support when necessary.

Salary

N100,000 Monthly.
