Job Title: Finance and Investment Manager

Role Summary
- As the Accounting and Finance Professional at ETAP, you will play a pivotal role in the financial health and decision-making processes of the organization.
- You will be overseeing financial operations, managing financial risks, providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and overseeing tax planning and remittances.
- You will collaborate closely with senior management to formulate financial strategies and drive the organization toward its financial goals and objectives.
What you will Do
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial planning models to support short-term and long-term strategic goals.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvements.
Financial Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Investment and Financing:
- Assist the investor relations team with key financial deliverables and ad-hoc requests.
- Work closely with the leadership team on strategy, roadmap, and targets for the business, and advise on hiring decisions and market opportunities.
- Monitor the monthly financial operations within the company (liquidity, payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position.
- Oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of tax returns and remittances.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure the organization’s compliance with tax laws.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure the organization’s financial stability.
- Develop strategies to optimize cash utilization and mitigate financial risks.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, including tax-related risks, and develop risk management strategies.
- Implement effective internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Financial Strategy:
- Collaborate with the CFO or Director of Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
What we look out for:
- Have genuine interest and curiosity about ETAP, and consumer insurance in general
- Have experience working with a Tech Startup
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance. A master’s degree would also be desirable.
- ACCA/CFA is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, along with an analytical mindset and a curious nature. You love to solve problems, get hands-on, experiment, measure, and use automation to optimize processes and programs.
- An initiator and a pusher. Has the urge and ability to make things happen and to solve practical problems in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to handle a number of concurrent activities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
- Proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation
