Job Title: Information Risk Management and Control Analyst
Location: Lagos

Job Summary
- To enhance and fortify the company’s policies on operational, emerging, information, and internal control risks, and to establish a uniform framework for systematically identifying, assessing, mitigating, reporting, monitoring, and managing significant risks.
- Additionally, to assist in daily processes that keep management informed about new issues and the evolution of risks
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders for the implementation of risk management framework and related standards
- Establish and manage report to encourage transparency in information risk activities, projects, and initiatives
- Challenge the Information and Information Security policies, instructions, and guidelines, to ensure consistency with regulation, information risk framework and risk appetite framework
- Conduct Regular trainings to local correspondents and management to increase risk awareness.
- Report to senior management, external and internal auditors
- Create a fluid relationship with local risk correspondents (1st line of defense and entities risks managers) to receive the alerts of new risks, controls failing, activity change and new projects
- Increase partnership with business units by regular participation in committees and projects
- Coordination with other risk-related functions in the 2nd line of defense: Compliance, Legal, Tax, Data Privacy, Information Security, Business Continuity, etc.
Requirements
Academic/Professional:
- Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or Business Administration or any related discipline from a reputable Tertiary Institution
Work Experience:Â
- 5+ Years of applicable experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Risk Management & Corporate Governance
- Good organizational, analytical and research skills
- Ability to interact and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, clients, other departments, and vendors.
- Good knowledge of insurance products offerings (development, dependencies, features etc.)
- Strategic, critical and analytical thinking and pragmatic problem solving
