Description
- The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring the efficient operation, while prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize terminal performance.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
- Ensuring quality standards for maintenance and repair
- Assist in planning and executing of mechanical related projects.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors
- Supervise and train mechanical technicians and assistants
- Assign tasks and monitor progress
- Maintain good records of maintenance repairs and inspections
- Give explicit report on equipment performance and downtime
- Ensure smooth operation of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Oversee installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and condition monitoring.
- Source spare parts and materials
- Plan and execute repairs, overhauls and replacement of mechanical equipment
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance
Requirements
- B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- High sense of focus to stick with operations objectives and goals.
- Inclusive people management Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of given instructions and accepted standard practices.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions in consistency with company policies
- Ability to maintain punctual attendance, regularly.
- Ability to work for minimum twelve hours daily.
