Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Description

• The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of all necessary items, products or service for the factory.
• This role involves sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost-effectiveness while adhering to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain and update the vendor database regularly.
• Request and compare quotations from vendors to obtain the best deals.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms (discounts, credit facilities, etc.).
• Ensure all purchase orders (POs) are approved regularly as commitments.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
• Obtain cost-effective deals and ensure purchases align with budget constraints.
• Monitor and manage expenditures related to procurement activities.
• Conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and vendor performance.
• Assist management with any reasonable tasks assigned to support procurement operations.
• Review the quality of purchased products and immediately report any faulty items.
• Ensure availability of warranties and after-sales support for purchased items.
• Abide by the Approved Items Booklet and quality standards for all procurements
• Arrange transportation for receiving items when required.
• Fill and sign the “Material Received Form” (MRF) to document received goods.
• Visit the market to conduct price analysis and document findings.
