Job Title: Production Technologist

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Schedule: Full-time

Job Summary

  • As a Production Technologist, your job role includes analyzing data to enhance production efficiency, simulating reservoir behavior, identifying production bottlenecks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting the manager’s execution.

Responsibilities

Production Performance Analysis:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and improve overall efficiency.
  • Utilize software tools and techniques to assess production performance and optimize operations.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

Integrated Production Systems Modeling:

  • Build integrated production systems models to simulate the behavior of oil and gas fields.
  • Analyze system dynamics, including fluid flow, reservoir depletion, and constraints.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize field development plans and strategies.

Project Management:

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Coordinate stakeholders with internal and external partners to align project objectives and priorities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project goals.

Well Modeling:

  • Work closely with reservoir engineers to integrate well models into reservoir strategies.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and evaluate different scenarios to optimize well performance.Develop well models to simulate reservoir behavior and predict production performance.

Nodal Analysis:

  • Recommend solutions to enhance production and maximize asset value.
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities in the production network.
  • Perform nodal analysis to evaluate pressure drop, flow rates, and other critical parameters in production systems.

Educational Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Exploration and Production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Experience with production modeling software such as Prosper, GAP, tNavigator, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in production engineering principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of nodal analysis techniques and their application to production optimization.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
