We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Senior Legal Manager (Commercial & Litigation / Dispute Resolution)

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

  • To deliver strategic and expert legal support to the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring effective management of corporate commercial transactions, dispute resolution, and associated legal matters.

The Job

  • Drafting and developing standard and specialized commercial contracts.
  • Liaising with external solicitors and other consultants to provide general legal services to the Group.
  • Provide general legal advice to the Group and ensure that the Group complies with legal and regulatory requirements for its existence and operations.
  • Conducting research and analysis of legal issues.
  • Participating in the selection, engagement, and performance evaluation of external solicitors.
  • Coordinating the conduct of legal due diligence on business partners.
  • Providing in-house legal support on the defense and institution of claims.
  • Reviewing and advising on court processes filed for and against the Group
  • Attending court sessions, trials, and judgment readings when required.

Qualification

  • LLB / BL in law.
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association.
  • LLM/ICSAN membership will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of cognate experience.
