West African Soy Industries Limited (WASIL) operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa. The manufacturing facility is located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, with raw materials sourced from farmers in Kaduna, Katsina, Niger and other states across Nigeria.
The Company is active in the Soy value chain through its out-grower farming activities by providing high quality agri-inputs to farmers and procuring farm produce from them through off-take arrangements. We educate the farmers on Yield Enhancement Techniques (YET) to improve their crop yield, and train women on best practices in Shea collection and primary processing.

Job Title: Shift Incharge – PREP / SEP

Job Description
- To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
- To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies’ quality systems, processes and procedures.
- Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff.
- Problem solving and troubling skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problem in hand.
- To work closely with other shift in charge to ensure production handover are effective communication’
- Maintain good housekeeping standard to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Monitor measure and report on production related process performance, general issues.
- To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all member of staff,
- To ensure that Health and safety rules and regulation are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the company’s health and safety policy.
- To ensure there is no leakages of utility. Ensure data are used or processed for the purpose set for such data and ensure absolute confidentiality while processing or using personal data. Get the consent of the data subject before collecting, processing, and using data
- Adhere to the requirements of FSSC, Feed Safety, GMP and QMS as it relates to my job function.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in high mass volume manufacturing environment as a shift supervisor. (Candidate Preference for Extraction and Edible oil based Refinery.)
- Extensive knowledge on Process control.
- Sound written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges.
- Ability to understand the principles of manufacturing.
- Good Knowledge of PLC based process operation.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills
