Job Title: Technical Assistant

Job Summary
- The Technical Assistant to the MD at Ashbard Energy Company Limited will support the MD in managing operational, strategic, and technical aspects of the company’s diverse engineering services, including well services, non-destructive testing, intelligent pigging, valves calibration and corrosion monitoring.
- This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing high-level administrative and technical tasks, providing insights on operational efficiency, and assisting in project coordination.
- The Technical Assistant will act as a liaison between the MD and other departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of key projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support:
- Assist the MD in managing and coordinating the company’s technical operations, particularly within the oil and gas sector.
- Support the MD with data analysis, technical reports, and updates on key projects such as well services and pipeline support.
- Provide insight into the company’s operational performance and recommend process improvements.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Work closely with the MD to identify and implement new business opportunities in alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
- Support the MD in developing and executing strategic plans related to procurement solutions, technical manpower services, and equipment provision.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies relevant to Ashbard Energy’s services.
- Provide analytical support to the MD for decision-making regarding business development and operational efficiency.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with department heads and project teams on the execution of projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Monitor and report on the progress of technical services such as non-destructive testing (NDT) and corrosion monitoring.
- Assist with technical documentation and compliance with industry standards.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage the MD’s schedule, coordinate meetings, and prepare necessary documents and presentations.
- Attend meetings with or on behalf of the MD and ensure that follow-up actions are implemented.
Client and Vendor Relations:
- Liaise with clients and vendors to facilitate communication and ensure client needs are met efficiently.
- Support in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. A master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or managerial role, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Ashbard Energy’s services, including well services, intelligent pigging, non-destructive testing, and corrosion monitoring.

- Strong project management skills.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis.
