Monument Distillers Nigeria Limited (MDN) launched in Nigeria in March 2019 with the acquisition of the 1960 Rootz Bitters brand and the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, moving Rootz’ production facility to Lagos.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Technical Operator – Blending
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- This role is required to safely operate and maintain the blending plant to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost.
- This role reports to the Blending Supervisor.
The candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Perform quality analysis and ensure process quality and productivity are achieved on your shift.
- Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends.
- Maintain safety & housekeeping standards.
- Use escalation procedures to ensure that the time to react is reduced.
- Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace, operate and control the MDN blending process according to the SOPs.
- Implement and comply with the company’s safety, health & environment and procedures.
- Monitor & control production processes on shift using the correct tools as per the MDN standards (OWS, 5S, etc)
- Interpret and implement production plan for shift.
Qualification & Experience
- A minimum of OND from any reputable institution.
- Technical / Trade Certificate related to technical operations.
- Ability to use own initiative with own with confidence, using judgment to escalate when necessary.
- Ability to spot improvement opportunities fast.
- Minimum of Three (3) years of blending experience in the FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of Operating and maintaining equipment and processes according to specifications and standard operating procedures.
