The Initiative for Research, Innovation and Advocacy in Development (IRIAD) is a not for profit organisation working on elections, governance, peace, security, development and democracy.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programme Officer (Plans and Implements)

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities

  • Planning: Support planning and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational, programme and projects goals.
  • Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to objectives, timelines, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare project reports and documentation on project activities, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate and maintain communication with stakeholders, including beneficiaries, partners, and funders, to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Resource Management: Support the management of project resources, including budgeting and procurement, to ensure efficient use of funds and materials.
  • Capacity Building: Provide support and training to project staff and partners to enhance their skills and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of elections, governance, social justice, rule of law, human rights, GESI, and democracy
  • Ability to multitask, manage time and resources effectively, with attention to detail and ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience and competency in budget, grants and compliance management
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Proven success working with all levels of management of an organization
  • Demonstrable clear written, visual and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates challenges and risks
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing needs / requirements
  • Three years progressive experience in programmes administration and projects implementation and management, including methods and processes

Salary Range

N180,000 – N250,000 monthly.
