Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – AC Power

Job Description

  • As a Technical Sales Engineer AC Power you will provide technical sales support for AC Power products and solutions for the Central Africa Region.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the Sales team to meet regional cluster and overall regional targets on sales and orders on AC Power products and for the development of technically and price competitive applications for AC Power products in order to fulfill customer requirements where standard products do not fit. 

Responsibilities
What you’ll do? As a key team player, your Responsibilities include:

  • Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications;
  • Provide sales and pre-sales support with technical support of product specifications and applications;
  • Presentation/explanation of solution to sales organization;
  • Participate in technical events, exhibitions, seminars and other promotional activities in coordination with marketing and sales team to promote the AC Power product portfolio;
  • Create product and application presentations for customers and consultants.
  • Standard product selection based on customer requirements;
  • Coordinates with factory engineering departments for specific technical requests; 
  • Prepare relevant technical documents;

Qualifications
What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with:

  • Electrical Engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience (Bachelor’s Degree / HND)
  • Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation;
  • Practical experiences with AC Power products;
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems;
  • High focus on customer needs;
  • Disciplined, self-motivated and proactive;
  • Organizational skills and familiar with a decentralized environment but at the same time able to work in a team;
  • Experience in AC Power products specific to the ICT / Data Centre or equivalent environment;
  • Specialist / Expert knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Power Electronics, Data Centers exposure is a great plus;
  • Solid experience matured in adjacent markets and in similar positions;
  • Language skills:  Fluent English written, and verbal required;
  • Travel expected at 30% of the year.
